Sensory Walks, 14+ | Swadlincote

About the activity

Sensory walks allow you to use your senses to connect with the world around you, all while being active. During this session, there will be an opportunity to engage all your senses with activities to complete while walking around the site.

Taking part in this activity will help you develop your mobility and will allow you to meet new people, whilst enjoying nature.

Who is this for?

This activity will be a medium intensity activity but is able to be adapted to a low intensity. The paths at this site are wheelchair accessible, although there is a slight incline at points this can be avoided if needed.ย  The activity is created for disabled people with complex needs but can be enjoyed by anyone.

Who is the activity leader?

Chioma is new to our sensory walk programme but very excited to lead these walks. Chioma is very passionate about exploring nature and getting active in a way that suits you, and always willing to listen to feedback to make the sessions as engaging and meaningful as possible.

Accessibility

Our sensory walk is held at Swadlincote woodlands, which has a car park with free parking. We have access to the disabled toilets located nearby the meeting point.
