Virtual Sensory Sport Programme for Schools and Colleges | Virtual
About the activity
The Sense Virtual Sensory Sport Programme is designed to enable school and college learners with complex needs to participate in meaningful and appropriate sport and physical activities in the comfort of their own school / college / classroom, with sessions delivered via Zoom.
At Sense, we have developed five Sensory Sports in partnership with each national governing body: football; snooker; badminton; rounders; and tennis. Working with our delivery partner, Just Do Sport, we will deliver 5- or 6-week blocks of activities relating to each of these five sports, across the academic year. Schools / colleges are welcome to drop in and out of the sessions as you wish, although we do encourage schools / colleges to attend as many sessions as possible to support the outcomes and skill development of participants.
Who is this for?
This session is aimed at disabled people with complex needs who are in educational establishments (schools / colleges).
About our activity leader
This session is delivered by Jake from Just Do Sport, via Zoom. Classroom based support staff are asked to support participants within the session and Jake can offer guidance and support virtually as required.
