Sense Ambassador: Ibe Sesay

Ibe Sesay is a Q Radio presenter and DJ who is particularly supportive of Sense’s work in Northern Ireland. The Drive Time presenter, who is a parent and who has a background in providing care for disabled people, says seeing the charity’s support for children and families is one of the main reasons he decided to become an Ambassador.
Ibe says that the charity’s advocacy for equal access to communication, education and services empowers parents like him to advocate for their children.
I’m so thrilled to be asked to be an ambassador for Sense, and I’m proud to come on board at such an exciting time for the charity as work begins on Sense Hub Belfast. I have a background in providing care for disabled people and so I know the barriers that they face in our community all too well.

The new centre in Belfast is going to be so important. The new services will make such a difference to the lives of disabled people that live here, and their families.
