Scott Garthwaite, also known as Punk Chef, is a passionate chef and TV presenter who uses his platform to bridge the gap between food and the Deaf community. Through his shows, Punk Chef and Punk Chef on the Road, he not only shares his culinary expertise but also teaches sign language, making cooking accessible to a wider audience.
His trailblazing journey has not only proven that Deaf chefs can excel in the kitchen but also thrive on mainstream television. By breaking barriers, Scott has inspired countless Deaf individuals, showing them that they too can achieve their dreams in an industry often seen as inaccessible.
Scott is a dedicated advocate for the Sense, a cause close to his heart. As a Sense Ambassador, he actively participates in their events and aims to bring joy through cooking for the people they support.
I am honoured to be a Sense Ambassador – I fully support the cause and am very happy to be a part of such an inspiring organisation as it marks its 70th anniversary. I’m excited by the future and all that we can achieve together.
