A stylishly dressed woman wearing a hat sits in her wheelchair in front of banners with the Sense logos printed in a grid formation.

Samantha Renke is a broadcaster, speaker, journalist, author and disability advocate, whose TV credits include Loose Women, Lorraine and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

Samantha has supported Sense in various ways, including fronting the Sense Awards in 2023. She writes for the likes of the Metro about disability issues including ableism and body image, and was recognised at the Sense Awards 2024 when she was shortlisted for Journalist of the Year.

Samantha, who has Brittle Bone Condition, starred in the famous series adverts for chocolate brand Maltesers. Her book, You’re The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread, was published by Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place book imprint, and Samantha is also the co-host of The Mobility Lifestyle Pod.

I’m delighted to be made a Sense Ambassador and look forward to continuing to support the charity as it celebrates its 70th year.

In recent years, as I’ve become more involved as a disability rights campaigner, I’ve come to fully understand and feel so much pride in my disability identity.

Sense is a lovely charity that supports thousands of disabled people of all ages and around the whole country, campaigns on important issues and continues to raise our voices.
