\"A<\/td>We are co-chairs of the Sense user reference group.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Co-chairs are people in charge of a meeting or group.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>The Sense user reference group is a group of people who are supported by Sense.<\/td><\/tr>
\"3<\/td>We helped write this plan with other people in the Sense user reference group.<\/td><\/tr>
\"3<\/td>We talked about what matters most\u2026<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Great support workers.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>More people who can communicate with us.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Healthcare that works for everyone.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Affordable and accessible technology.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Safe homes where we have real choice.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We said, we wanted to choose:<\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>Where we live.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Who we spend time with.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>How we spend our day.<\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>We said, we wanted to be seen as important and be treated well.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We said, we wanted the same chances as everyone else.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We are proud our ideas are in this plan and want to carry on being listened to.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"A<\/th>Our plan to change Sense<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
\"\"<\/td>There are 1.6 million disabled people with complex needs across the UK who Sense is here for.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Many have a difficult time doing things they want to because:<\/td><\/tr>
\"3<\/td>Their support might not be good enough.<\/td><\/tr>
\"People<\/td>Other things in the world are getting in the way.<\/td><\/tr>
\"Peggy<\/td>Sense was started over 70 years ago by two mothers, who wanted a better life for their children, who were deafblind.<\/td><\/tr>
\"Our<\/td>Sense has been providing brilliant support services for over 70 years.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We will now be doing more to campaign for change. This means to make things better by speaking up and taking action.<\/td><\/tr>
\"Lots<\/td>We spoke to 3,000 people who know Sense to help write our future.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want to say thank you to everyone who got involved.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"A<\/th>The work we\u2019re going to do<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
\"A<\/td>We have 4 important ways we\u2019re going to change Sense:<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>1. Lead with lived experience<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>We want to be better at listening to disabled people with complex needs and finding out what they want and need.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want disabled people to be more involved and have a bigger say in what Sense does.<\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>We want more disabled people to work at Sense.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>2. Strengthen our services<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want to make sure our services work well for all the people we support and that they work for the
future too.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want to support more disabled people with complex needs of different ages.<\/td><\/tr>
\"3<\/td>We will be moving all our services onto digital systems<\/strong> to improve the way we work. Digital systems<\/strong> are computers and online tools that help us do our work.<\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>We want to work together with other people to make this happen.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>3. Push for social change<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
\"People<\/td>We want to work with disabled people with complex needs and their families to make politicians listen to what they need.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>Politicians are people who help make laws, run public services, and represent the views of the people who vote for them.<\/td><\/tr>
\"2<\/td>We want the government to make changes that help make a fairer society.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want to challenge harmful attitudes that affect many disabled people with complex needs.<\/td><\/tr>
\"Two<\/td>4. We will support our employees to learn and grow.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>There are lots of people who work at Sense:
3,000 employees.
2,000 volunteers.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We want to make sure Sense is a brilliant, inclusive and accessible place to work.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>We will be making sure we use all the money we have in the best way possible.<\/td><\/tr>
\"3<\/td>We will look at good information before we choose what to do.<\/td><\/tr>
\"A<\/td>And use technology more to help people we support and help Sense work better.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"2<\/th>We\u2019re just getting started<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
\"2<\/td>This plan is about making real change with disabled people with complex needs and their families.<\/td><\/tr>
