About the activity<\/h4>\n

Sensory Badminton allows disabled people with complex needs to take part in the sport in a completely accessible, meaningful and person-centred way, with activities being adapted for each individual’s needs. Taking part in this activity will help people to improve their coordination, endurance and confidence. Join us at Birtley Leisure centre for Badminton based activities in a fun relaxed and social way.<\/p>\n

Who is this for?<\/h4>\n

This activity is suitable for disabled people with complex needs and\/or sensory impairments. You do not need any prior experience. Parents and carers will be expected to support during the session.<\/p>\n

Who is the activity leader?<\/h4>\n

These sessions will be led by Gareth Thompson who is a qualified Badminton England coach and has an abundance of experience when working with disabilities. He has also attended our Sensory Sport workshops<\/p>\n
