For a great sensory activity that uses simple household objects, have a go at making your own bubble mixture and wand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s best to blow the bubbles outside as it can be quite messy, so head into the garden when you\u2019re ready. This recipe makes a lot of bubble mix, so you may want to scale it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to do this activity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Jam jars with lids<\/li>
  • 60ml washing up liquid<\/li>
  • 57g sugar<\/li>
  • 425ml warm water<\/li>
  • A large paperclip or pipe cleaner<\/li>
  • A stick or old pencil<\/li>
  • Tape<\/li>
  • A jug<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \n Step 1\n <\/h2>\n\n \n
    \n\t\t\tTo make the bubble mixture, put the sugar in the jug and pour the warm water over. Stir until dissolved. Then, add the washing liquid and gently mix it in being careful not to create too much foam. Pour into jam jars, and if possible, let it rest in the fridge for 24hrs.\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

    \n\t\t\tTo make the bubble wand, carefully unfold the large paperclip or use the pipe cleaner, and shape into a small circle or freeform shape. At the bottom of your shape, leave a straight bit, and tape that to the twig or pencil.\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
