He is a specialist in the field of sports, exercise and health science, and currently a Professor of Applied Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moore\u2019s University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg&#8217;s former roles include Director of Research for the British Olympic Association and Director of Science &amp; Research for the English Institute of Sport. Greg, who was voted as one of the Top 10 Science Communicators in the UK by the British Science Council, is well-known for his involvement in charity challenges and has applied his sports science work to assist various celebrities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg has trained, motivated and successfully coached participants in 39 Sport &amp; Comic Relief and Children in Need challenges, helping to raise over \u00a365 million for charity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He supports Sense\u2019s campaign to make sport more accessible for disabled people with complex needs, including through the charity\u2019s innovative reimagining of traditional sports like snooker, tennis and football.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote is-style-primary-tint-10 has-x-small-font-size\"><blockquote><p>The health and wellbeing of disabled people has long been shockingly neglected by the authorities, and it\u2019s great to see charities like Sense striving to work towards long-term change. <br><br>The charity puts inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of not just its ground-breaking sports programme, but everything Sense does to support disabled people with complex needs in the UK. <br><br>There are huge physical benefits to getting involved in Sense Active\u2019s programme of activities, as well as mental, emotional and social health benefits too, leading to improved quality of life.
