A lady in a green and white striped top is holding him around the waist, a lady in a black coat.\" class=\"wp-image-29345\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You might already be aware of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sense.org.uk\/places\/sense-loughborough\/sense-college-loughborough\/\">Sense College Loughborough<\/a>, a specialist college helping young disabled people develop their independent living skills, access education and employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sense Hub Loughborough expands and refurbishes the college and is home to lots of opportunities, offering community programmes, support and activities for people of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Here you\u2019ll be able to access:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-primary-bullets\">\n<li>Arts and wellbeing programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialised indoor and outdoor sport &amp; physical activity programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sense.org.uk\/our-services\/support-for-children\/free-play-services-for-children-with-complex-disabilities\/\">Play sessions for children under eights<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outreach play sessions in local children\u2019s centres.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialist support for children with multi-sensory impairments aged 0-25 years. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help finding work placements, jobs and getting additional support in the workplace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Day services to build life skills like cooking or using public transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunities for short breaks away from home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialist consultants, disabled artists, local charities, parents carers and disabled people will all be involved in creating Sense Hub Loughborough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote is-style-primary-tint-10\"><blockquote><p>Going to the sessions had such a positive impact on us as a family because we suddenly found ourselves with people who knew what we were going through.\u201d<\/p><cite>Louise<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-hs-group  \">\t\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide is-style-default\">Why Loughborough?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Charnwood Borough Council, which includes Loughborough, has approximately 5,774 disabled people with complex needs.
